A Family Moving to the Country

A family moving from their home in South Kensington to a substantial family home in Wiltshire. With children aging from 7 months to 6 years old, the lady of the house neither had the time or inclination to pack or unpack her belongings. Cadogan Tate professionally packed everything in her home into new cardboard packing cases. Her children’s cots and beds were all dismantled and carefully wrapped. Her sleigh bed was dismantled and carefully wrapped to protect it. Parking had been arranged outside her house to allow easy access for the 2 large vans that were required.

At the delivery address the drive was long and had a nasty tight turn in between two rhododendron hedges. Cadogan Tate had arranged for a small transit vehicle to travel with the 2 vans of belongings. The goods were all loaded in to the small van which was able to drive directly up to the front door which was lucky as it was raining heavily!

Everything was unloaded and placed around the house. By 6pm the beds and cots had been re-assembled and the kitchen unpacked. The following morning the crew finished unpacking all the boxes and removed all the waste paper.

A Couple moving from flat to flat in London SW7

The couple in their fifties had a collection of fine oak furniture and a grand piano in their 4th floor flat. The property had had some modifications since we move in 6 years earlier. It was no longer going to be possible to move everything out of the flat by the stairs.

Permission was sought and granted by the landlord to remove part of the exterior of the building, a canopy over the balcony. A road closure was arranged through the Council and Police. A crane was booked to arrive at 8 am. A van with made to measure crates for the Steinway grand piano and five other items arrived at 8am. The crane moved the empty crates to the balcony where the crew packed them. At 11am the full crates we maneuvered on to the balcony and lowered to street by the crane.

At the delivery address all the items were delivered through the front door and cases then removed. Steinway then arrived and tuned the piano.
